Housing Schemes (PM Awas Yojana)
Government housing schemes help families build or buy their first home, often with a subsidy on the loan interest or a grant for construction. This page explains the main schemes and where to check your status.
Main Options
PM Awas Yojana – Gramin
Gives financial help to eligible rural families to build a pucca house. The beneficiary list is based on a survey, and you can search your name on the portal.
PM Awas Yojana – Urban
Helps eligible urban families with housing through different components, including an interest subsidy on home loans.
Interest Subsidy on Home Loans
Eligible buyers can get a subsidy on the interest of their home loan, depending on income group and loan size. Check the current limits on the official site.
State Housing Schemes
Many states and housing boards offer plots and flats at lower prices. Check your state housing department.
